Home of the 2025 Canadian Senior & Mixed Nationals April 8th - April 12th!
Welcome Message
The 2025 Organizing Committee is looking forward for your visit with us in West Hants, Nova Scotia. It has been 25 years since Nova Scotia last hosted a National Broomball Championship. However, West Hants is no stranger to hosting big events.
West Hants has hosted five Canadian National Softball Championships on behalf of Softball Canada with outstanding success. Members of those Championships are also members of our Hosting Committee including the Chairperson Darrell Lyttle who chaired all five of the Softball events again with the tremendous support of the Municipality of West Hants. So, we are no strangers to big events.
West Hants was the hotbed of Broomball in this province for decades. The Senior Men’s Division has been represented at the Canadian Senior Men’s National Championships 21 times by teams from West Hants. Broomball is in our blood!
West Hants is a storied place, from the Mi’kmaq people to the Acadian, British, American Planters and more, West Hants has been an important cultural centre for hundreds of years bringing people together.
That is what we hope to do with this Championship; bring people together from different backgrounds for one common goal in the sport of Broomball. We hope that you’re inspired by our culture, heritage and hospitality and wish you the best of luck at this year’s Championship.
We are very much looking forward in sharing our great Community with all of you!
